Rahul dreams of creating the Greatest Art in the World – the goal that drives his practice. He practices non-objective art with oil on linen as his medium. He strongly believes that it is important to do saadhna – submission to the medium to master it.
A Mechanical Engineer and a Management student, Rahul quit his Corporate career in 2013 to pursue his art! Before becoming a full time professional artist, he was a corporate Honcho with Godrej Consumer Products.
Rahul has exhibited his work in India and abroad at Nehru Center (Mumbai), Jehangir Art Gallery (Mumbai), Amaya Arts (Bangaluru), and World Art 2017 (Dubai) and has his artwork in private collections across countries.
“I play the role of a yojak – the facilitator and remove every strain of conscious thought or effort that would shape the outcome predictably. The work happens – work that can absorb me, distill me, give me goose bumps” — Rahul
